This was really helpful - thank you! I appreciate that you went into depth on the little "gotcha" moments that make the 'free' version way less useful. If I may ask, would you still recommend Carrd if you wanted to have multiple pages? Not an excessive amount, but maybe 2-3 separate pages from the main home page. Closest thing I've come across so far that allows for that is google sites, although that has slightly less flexibility when it comes to templating.

most world press issues are usually easy to cover cuz most hosting services offer built-in security management and most functionality or capability issues can be fixed as you can connect WordPress to other website builders like Wix or Elementor

Use these builders if you are a small business or someone who isn’t serious about their business. These website builders are so horrible that you can legit access their login admin page and basically take over the admin permissions. If you are serious about your buisness and not just a nail tech or a barber I suggest you to find a professional developer who will actually add functionality to your web app.

I feel like you're the best channel to go to for clear, unbiased videos about making a website. I appreciate what I have learned so far. Would you ever consider making a video about where to purchase a domain? I've just wrapped up with a few hours of research on that and I have a candidate that I will most likely go with, but I'd like to hear what your recommendation is for a domain reseller.

Whoa, dude - I super appreciate the massive effort you put into not only the video itself but all the time you put into the actual testing! I've been on ConvertKit for about 2 years now and love it but have been a bit wary about how my long-term growth might affect pricing (and other things) as you mentioned in your video. Going to go give MailerLite and Brevo a shot now!

How can I check out some sites made with Square space. Then I can judge if I think if it's good. Do you have your own website on Square space?

I think they have changed carrd. Not a fan- I like to use my own graphics and I couldn't figure out how. It wasn't easy choosing font or other colors. I am a super fan of creating with PowerPoint. Any suggestions as to any sites that simulate it?

Super useful video. You probably won't be able to help. But I need symple to use and accessible with my Iphone Yes Apple Screen Reader. By the Sounds of it Sqare space might be the one but I have to learn if it's acceasseble or not. Secondly. Have you considered the possibility word press is rigged because the founder or who you said disagrees with you? He might have Rigged. If I do make a sight using Square space then I'll thank you a lot because I am blind so that kind of thing seems impossible at first glance. But I'm Checking everything In detail. I was able to start a mailing list blindly and I bet I can make a sight blindly too! I will then learn to code blindly as well!!

You dont mention the issue that website builders have that is trying to transfer your site to another provider. Its as difficult as hell and is so cumbersome as to be not worth the effort. Also if you register your domain through them its even worse!

FYI you can set Wix to an auto tax-er that will automatically change the tax rate for where the person lives. You can also purchase and print shipping labels within the Wix platform for the individual orders. In the video it says Wix can NOT do either of these. That is not true since I use both of those options all the time.

Squarespaces and Wix ae CMS... They just band themselves "Site Builders". Wordpress is a site builder. And compared to the concurrents you mention in that video, there is a lot more flexibility than just "maNaGinG CoNtEnT". Wordpress as an extensive library of themes. Both free and premium. AND, those themes are not only created by wordpress... There is a large community of crreators and companies that create themes for the wordpress global community. Also, you say at the end of the video that hosting is include in the pricing of others CMS than Wordpress. Wich is true. But then you mention that hosting Wordpress on a host cost more than those previous solution. This is very wrong. A CMS like Squarespace, Wix, or even Webflow is more likely to be minimum 2x time more expensive than hosting wordpress and take an elementor pro subscribtion. For example. I pay 14€ for a shared Hosting plan at Hostinger. I host 4 website on it, all running on Wordpress + Elementor. I pay 150€ of Elementor Pro yearly. So if you make the calculation, the total cost for running 4 websites on Wordpress + Elementor Pro, is this : 150+14*12=318/12=26.5/4=6.625€ per month, per site. Comparing that, to the 14€ per site at Wix, and 12€ at Squarespace... Well, let just say that you didn't make your research properly. Now yes I know, I have 4 sites to manage, so it make financial sense. But when you look at the minimum pricing of each solution, you don't have enought perks included that have a serious project. For example, the starting pricing at Wix is 17$ per month, for 2 GB storage space ? What does that even mean ? What about bandwith ?? So yeah. Even for a single project, it make sense to go wordpress, pay the 50$ Only 1 site elementor Pro plan and create a website that work. Also concerning the constant update of plugins, themes, and wordpress version, you can simply deactivate those, and manualy update them in one shot. You also now have solutions that do that for you automaticaly like WP Umbrella, with a Safe Update function that duplicate your site and verify if the extension and your site in general is working fine before update the production version. So the "update point" is non-sense for me. Also, you don't have any flexibility concerning server side optimisation, and domain options like DNS records, and logs etc... on solutions like Squarespace, wix, webflow and Carrd... Maybe if you connect you domain previously bought ? But even then I'm not sure if you can do that. I know that you can in Shopify and Webflow, not sure in the other solutions. This is very missleading video. Wordpress is 10 times better than Wix and Squarespaces. You don't even talk about it seriously.
